Solën Guézille (Partner) and Olivia Debacq (Associate) published an article in Legal 500 on product liability where composite products incorporate one or more third-party components.
The article addresses the joint liability provided by this regime between the producer of the finished product and the producer of the incorporated product, the remedies available to the finished-product producer against the incorporated-product producer in the event of a judgment, and the new provisions introduced by Directive (EU) 2024/2853, recently adopted and to be transposed by EU Member States by 9 December 2026.
