Philippe Royou

Philippe Royou has 35 years of experience in tax advisory and tax litigation. Before joining Squadra Avocats, he spent most of his career at Simmons & Simmons, where he headed the tax department, and at Freshfields.

Philippe advises on mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions, supporting both entrepreneurs and management teams. He has developed a specific and diverse expertise in savings and employee shareholding, including involving foreign-law schemes, whether in the design and implementation of all kinds of incentive plans (stock options, free shares, employee savings plans, notional instruments, etc.), in expatriate/impatriate matters, cross-border compensation, bonus plans or remuneration packages for executive and management teams in LBOs and private equity transactions.

Finally, he dedicates part of his activity to wealth advisory, assisting entrepreneurs, artists and wealthy families, often with cross-border elements.
