Founded in 2013, Cartol designs and produces bodywork and sheet-metal parts. It operates from part of the premises previously occupied by Heuliez SAS, in Cerizay.
Considered a strategic company by the French defence procurement agency, Cartol faced difficulties that led it to request the opening of reorganisation proceedings. After several months of observation, a sale plan preserving most jobs and activity on the historic site was approved by the Niort Commercial Court on 13 April 2023.
