Squadra Avocats advised the MAASH group on the acquisition of METEX NØØVISTA.
A subsidiary of METabolic EXplorer, the leader in industrial fermentation producing naturally sourced ingredients for animal nutrition, cosmetics and biopolymers, Metex Nøøvista is being acquired under a sale plan by Belgian company Maash.
Metex Nøøvista belongs to the Metex group, which produces, by fermentation, naturally sourced ingredients for animal nutrition and cosmetics. Listed on the Paris stock exchange, METabolic EXplorer carries out the group's R&D activities in addition to its financial holding business and owns 100% of the two operating subsidiaries: METEX NøøvistaGo, which operates a sugar-fermentation amino-acids production plant, and METEX Nøøvista, created in 2018, which has operated since March 2021 a newly built plant in Saint-Avold (Lorraine) with a production capacity of 5,000 tonnes of bio-based propanediol and 1,000 tonnes of bio-based butyric acid.
METEX Nøøvista was forced to seek the opening of judicial reorganisation proceedings, granted by the Paris Commercial Court on 25 March 2024. By judgment dated 25 June 2024, the Paris Commercial Court authorised the sale of METEX Noovista's assets and operations to Maash.
